Job Description

This person works directly with students and provides assistance, supervision, training, and support to other staff members.  This person functions as a team leader and in the absence of the teacher performs all necessary leadership duties.  This person is responsible for case managing at least two students and identifies and develops resources to meet treatment and team goals.  This person is responsible for role modeling appropriate interactions during a behavior escalation.

Job Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Uphold the mission, values, policies and procedures of Roundup Fellowship.

§ Supervise students at school and in community settings ensuring their safety.

§ Assist students to complete daily routines and programs.

§ Intervene in behavior management as indicated in individual crisis intervention and behavior modification programs.

§ Perform case management responsibilities for at least two students including writing reports, and crisis interventions, developing programs to meet IEP goals, coordinating resources, and ensuring proper documentation in all file systems.

§ Maintain frequent and professional communication with supervisors, family members, schools, therapists, and other professionals or significant others.

§ Complete appropriate documentation including log notes, communication notes, and incident reports.

§ Handle emergency situations effectively while following established procedures.

§ Provide direction, support, and role modeling to other staff members.

§ Responsible for administrative functions as requested including scheduling, training, writing performance reviews, and assisting with writing IEP’s. This is not an all-inclusive list of administrative duties that may be expected.

§ Participate in meetings and training as scheduled or requested by supervisor.

§ Assist with transportation of students to and from school, for community activities, vocational and educational experiences.

§ Administer medication as prescribed following proper procedures.

§ Perform basic cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

§ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

§ Minimum age of 21.

A related bachelor’s degree and 1-year experience

ABA or RBT experience is preferred

§ Ability to read, write, and speak the English language for required paperwork, testing, and professional communication.

§ Ability to operate a computer utilizing Microsoft Office.

§ Colorado Driver’s license and the ability to drive a 10-passenger vehicle.

§ Satisfactory Central Registry and FBI record check.

§ Ability to do simple math calculations and analyze data.

§ Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations.

§ Requires scheduling flexibility.

§ Ability to work as a team member.

§ Ability to communicate effectively with respect and tact in order to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate plans, prepare materials.





Physical and Mental Demands:

§ Requires sufficient range of physical strength, endurance, and mobility to assist in personal care of students, transitional activities and behavioral interventions. Must be able to walk up and down one flight of stairs.

§ Requires adequate range of hearing and vision to properly supervise students.

§ Requires mental flexibility, emotional stability, personal maturity, and creativity in dealing with difficult situations.
