Description
B. Jackson Construction has an immediate opening for a full-time, skilled, Safety Compliance Specialist who resides in the Colorado Springs area and has safety compliance experience in Utility Underground Construction
This person will:
Perform site safety inspections and promote a safe work environment on current Construction Projects
Assist the Safety Director in risk management, identifying potential hazards, recommending corrective action, employee safety training and emergency response procedures, and proper use of PPE
Responsibilities
Perform daily site inspections, monitor and evaluate work practices to ensure compliance with all OSHA, regulatory and company safety policies and programs
Ability to perform accident/incident investigations
Excellent communication, computer and writing skills
Strong organizational skills
Work well independently and as a team
Qualifications
Valid Driver License with a clean record
Willing to submit to pre-hire and random drug testing
OSHA 30
Bilingual – English and Spanish -preferred
High School Diploma (some college preferred)
3-4 years of experience in Construction Safety Compliance
Salary Negotiable – based on experience, certifications and knowledge (salary range: $75,000-$85,000)
