Product Manager-WiFi Test - Contract - Greenwood Village, CO - $60.00 - $69.00/hr.

Our client is seeking a Product Manager-WiFi Test in Greenwood Village, CO.
Role Description
Engage with popular device manufacturers (consumer electronics, IoT, streaming, mobile OEMs) to triage issues and optimize connectivity on Advanced WiFi.
Establish tiered partner engagement models supported by signed agreements (NDA/Evaluation/Enhanced NDA).
Maintain open, rapid communication channels to remediate identified issues.
Inform Spectrum's roadmap by tracking device ecosystem trends and upcoming features.
Lead Interoperability Validation of prominent and newer devices at the Austin WiFi Test House for new product launches and major releases.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
Ability to develop strong working relationships with peers and project members
Demonstrated experience defining and implementing Lean frameworks within a large enterprise
Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Smart Sheet a plus
Experience in Telecommunications industry; experience managing programs within a plus
Knowledge and experience with Agile delivery frameworks: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Scrum at Scale, LeSS, Lean, Six Sigma
Partner engagement and tiering
Identify, onboard, and manage strategic partners; define tiered engagement (Tier 1/Tier 2) and SLAs.
Drive agreement execution with Legal (NDA/Evaluation/Enhanced NDA) and maintain partner governance.
Interoperability Validation (Austin Wi Fi Test House)
Own test planning and execution for major releases and new product launches (routers, extenders, CBU), focusing on the most prominent and newer devices on our network.
Define device cohorts (mobile, CE/streaming, IoT) and test matrices (bands, channels, backhaul, DFS, client steering, roaming).
Coordinate lab/Test House replication, capture telemetry/logs, and produce validation reports with pass/fail criteria and risk assessments.
Partner with CPE Engineering, QA/APS, and vendors to address interop gaps pre
and post release.
Release planning and coordination
Plan fix releases based on customer impact; align with DLM/EDD and CPE release trains.
Ensure partner validation, regression coverage, and post release monitoring.
Reporting and executive communication
Publish dashboards and executive readouts on interop trends, issue aging, time to triage/time to fix, and RC/TC impacts.
Deliver Interoperability Validation summaries for each major release/launch with recommendations and readiness gates.
Roadmap and strategy
Provide insights on ecosystem trends (protocol adoption, chipset behavior, device patterns) to influence Advanced Wi Fi roadmap.
Propose pilots and co development initiatives that improve customer experience and reduce support friction.
Governance and compliance
Ensure data privacy, regulatory compliance, and responsible use of device intelligence.
Maintain partner scorecards and periodic business reviews.
Skills & Requirements
7+ years in Product Management, Partner/Program Management, or Technical Account Management; telecom/broadband/Wi Fi domain experience strongly preferred.
Hands on experience designing and running interoperability validation, including lab/test methodologies and device telemetry.
Strong understanding of Wi Fi technologies (802.11ac/ax/be), DFS behavior, mesh systems, client steering/roaming, and device interoperability.
Proven experience driving cross functional programs with Engineering, QA, Operations, Legal, and external vendors.
Skilled in prioritization, issue triage, RCA facilitation, and release coordination.
Data driven: able to define KPIs, interpret telemetry, and build actionable insights (e.g., Tableau/Looker).
Contractual literacy (NDA/Evaluation/Amendments) and vendor negotiation skills.
Tools: Jira/Confluence, release management systems, device telemetry platforms; familiarity with Plume/OpenSync, CUJO DI, and prior experience working with vendors a plus.
Success Metrics (KPIs)
Reduction in RC/TC rates tied to partner/interoperability issues.
Time to triage and time to fix for high impact interop defects.
% of major releases/launches validated at the Austin Test House with documented outcomes and mitigations.
Partner SLA adherence: # of Tier 1 partners onboarded and active.
NPS/CX improvements for cohorts impacted by interop fixes.
Decrease in repeat trouble calls for identified device categories.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, marketing, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent experience
