Job Description
The MyConnection Coordinator is responsible for the overall design, administration, development, training, overseeing and implementation of established standards of the MyConnection Community program at their facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Drives all aspects of the MyConnection Community Program for their facility to achieve program standards using an interdisciplinary team approach
Educates facility leadership on program standards and focuses on perpetually advancing program initiatives
Assists with selecting and hiring MyConnection Community staff
Responsible for appropriate admissions to the MyConnection Community based on admission criteria
Provides specialized training to MyConnection Community staff
Implement use of non-pharmacological, person centered approaches as appropriate
Ensures MyConnection community meetings take place as scheduled
Drives team implementation of person-centered activities
Offer family member support and education
Ensures environment supports therapeutic healing
Attends meetings/conference calls as appropriate
Ensures all care documentation is completed in a timely manner
Participates in community marketing and program development initiatives
Demonstrates team leadership skills at all times
Other duties as assigned, pertaining to the MyConnection Community
Bachelor degree or higher'in health sciences, humanities, human services or related field preferred
If no degree, 2+ years' prior experience working in psychiatric care
Minimum 1 year in leadership/management role preferred
Demonstrates initiative and autonomy
Competent in use of computer systems/audio-visual equipment
Demonstration of excellent communication skills
