HR Technician I
Join the Human Resources team at the Colorado Springs Police Department and find meaningful work in public service. In this position, you will provide support to the Police Human Resources Section in the Employee Services Unit, supporting a variety of functions across the employee life cycle.

- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Proficiency in data entry
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of records release and retention policies
- Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and supporting software
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to all customers
Successful candidates will have- A high school diploma or GED
- One year of full-time human resources or customer service experience
One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.Ideal candidates will also have- Experience in public-sector human resources
- Experience with an HRIS system
- Ability to effectively prioritize
- The desire to make a difference in their work
Additional InformationEssential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting for prolonged periods of time; extensive use of computer keyboard; light lifting.
