POSITION SUMMARY:
The HCM Systems Project Manager (PM) works closely with team members, business stakeholders and our consulting partner to lead the implementation and deployment of the new HCM / SaaS solution. The HCM Systems PM will also serve as the Deputy Project Manager (DPM) for Vectrus’ broader application modernization initiative.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
  • Develop project plan and schedule in collaboration with consulting partner.
  • Collaborate with Project Scheduler to maintain/update project schedule.
  • Manage team tasks/activities in accordance with schedule and deadlines.
  • Develop and oversee project processes and procedures.
  • Risk management and issue resolution.
  • Participate in training and application solution design workshops.
  • Schedule, execute and document team meetings.
  • Manage deliverable quality review and acceptance process.
  • Coordinate and lead, along with consulting PM, milestone gate reviews.
  • Coordinate effort for Internal Audit review and documentation.
  • Oversee training coordination.
  • Coordinate availability of infrastructure / cloud resources.
  • Actively monitor budgets and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Prepare status reports.
  • Prepare project briefings for various executive and stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate and lead program Change Agent Network with representatives from Vectrus operations and program teams.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Use of computers with Microsoft software products (e.g. Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point) as well as other ERP/HCM software. Use of printers, FAX machine, copy machine and other general office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment; however, duties may consist of work in out-door areas with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions/ambient temperatures.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Travel 50% of the time (will vary based on stage of the project).

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Eight years’ work experience with minimum 6 years’ experience in IT systems project management role(s).
Experience working with government services companies and with leadership role(s) in HR/Payroll system implementation projects desired.
Skills:
Complex IT project management, including schedule management, resource management, cost management, quality management and issue/risk management.
HCM systems implementation and sustainment.
IT service management and ITIL.
SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will manage a project team of approximately 10 people matrixed from other departments.
