This is a crew shift position as a Ground Controller (GC). GC's are responsible for monitoring and conducting antenna related tasks during program execution.
GC's utilize system software to accomplish all antenna related tasks and recommend improvements, and analyze software and equipment performance with respect to mission performance.
You will complete a specialized training and certification program. Applicants must possess a strong operations oriented technical background and have current or past expertise and technical skills in one or more ground system operations area.
Strong oral and written communications skills, along with the ability to work within operational working groups, are a must.
Position requires frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts and techniques. You will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
You will perform under general supervision and follow established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement and overall adequacy. You will conduct frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts on routine matters.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
A Top Secret clearance with an investigation within 5 years is required to start.
