Shields Foundation is seeking individuals to serve as one on one support staff for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our supported community connections day program. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided and required. Our supported community connections program takes individuals in small groups out for activities in the community Monday through Thursday from about 9:30am-3:00pm.
-Provide supervision for clients while out in the community and completing activities.
-Model appropriate behavior and assist with task completion as necessary.
-Assist clients in achieving personal goals related to community connection
-Valid Driver's License.
-Ability to pass background check.
-First Aid/CPR certification.
-QMAP certification is a plus!
All staff and clients are required to wear masks.
