Job Description
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).

Anticipated dates of employment will be May to mid-October. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and the possibility of some overtime hours. Total hours worked not to exceed 1,500 annually.

This position is conditional upon the 2020 seasonal program taking place.

Horticulture/Median Landscape Laborer
In this position you will perform a variety of landscape maintenance duties.

Essential Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:
  • Maintain flower and shrub beds; plant, weed, deadhead, and mulch
  • Water hanging baskets
  • Pick up trash
Additional Information

Regular attendance is essential to the performance of this job.

Physical Demands: The ability to stand, sit, stoop, walk, climb, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds frequently is required.

Environmental Conditions
Primary Work Environment – Outdoors in high traffic areas and all weather conditions

Job Requirements
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, utility vehicles, and other equipment
Successful candidate will:
Be at least 17 years of age
Possess a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:
Landscape and gardening experience
