The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) seeks a Business Support Specialist II to provide administrative support for the Asset Management section.
As a Business Support Specialist II, you will:
- Handles all duties related to the mail delivery for the Colorado Springs Police Department.
- Prepare equipment and uniform replacement for both sworn and civilian personnel. Issues appropriate tracking documentation for all equipment and uniforms. Maintains issue/replacement documentation in Quartermaster. Prepares items for pick-up and delivery by CSPD personnel and contacts Department members as needed to notify of deliveries ready for pick up.
- Prepare equipment and uniform turn in for all sworn and civilian personnel who leave the Department. Coordinates with Quartermaster Supervisor for receipt of badges and identification/access cards. Notifies Quartermaster Supervisor when all supplies are accounted for whenever an employee leaves the Department.
- Receives, verifies, checks for quality control on all deliveries for the Police Department. Ensures delivery invoices are signed for by appropriate personnel. Maintains all items issued and received in QuartermasterOnQ database.
- Pulls all form orders for division requests. Maintain an inventory for all forms. Warehouses all new form deliveries and notifies Supervisor when supply of inventory reaches low levels.
- Staff the Supply Unit front desk.
- Assist the Quartermaster Supervisor with equipment inventories, data entry and reports analysis to ensure supply accountability. Help create necessary tracking systems for all equipment and supplies.
- Assist with other duties as needed to help support the unit.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic computer experience with experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Proficiency in data entry.
- Ability to quickly learn computer software programs
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and supporting software
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to remain current on pertinent policies, procedures, and guidelines
- This position requires a resourceful individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain on schedule
- Knowledge of established safety procedures related to safe lifting
Minimum Qualifications
- Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED).
- Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field
- Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a law enforcement setting
- Knowledge of QuartermasterOnQ software
