Job Description
In this position you will perform a wide variety of general technical support duties in support of the Contracted Programs division of the Public Works department. In addition you will provide general information and assistance to the public regarding City policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:

  • Document standard operating procedures, prepares reports, compiles data for analysis, coordinates activities, investigates and resolves problems and handles special projects as assigned
  • Enter and manage data and tasks in programs including, but not limited to, Accela, PeopleSoft and Cartegraph
  • Performs data entry; enters and pulls information from a variety of systems and reviews reports for accuracy
  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers through email, phone, or in person inquiries
  • Review city permits and update Cone Zone app
  • Coordinate and manage the Public Works Project Schedule
  • Manage and submit tasks for contractors in the Accela program
  • Coordinate office equipment disposals
  • Manage office supplies and inventory
  • Coordinate office janitorial and facility requests
  • Complete monthly audit of (Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority) PPRTA-2C request database and provide updates to all stakeholders

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

Knowledge of:
  • Methods and techniques of data collection, research, and report preparation
  • Methods of administrative, organizational, economic, and procedural analysis
  • Modern office procedures and equipment, including computers and supporting software applications
Ability to:
  • Coordinate the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of information and data
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare professional reports
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships

Successful candidates will have

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of full-time clerical or business support experience

One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education

Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements

Ideal candidates will also have

  • Experience in data management
  • Experience with Accela, PeopleSoft and/or Cartegraph
