Job Description

At Trailhead Family & Life Skills, we provide trauma-informed, compassionate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families across Colorado Springs and surrounding areas. We are a locally owned, family-run company committed to meaningful, relationship-based care—not a one-size-fits-all model.

We’re currently hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in home, clinic, and/or community settings
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by a BCBA
  • Support development of communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Use reinforcement-based strategies to increase independence and reduce problem behavior
  • Collect and record data on client progress using electronic systems
  • Collaborate with families and clinical team members
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision

Who You Are

  • You genuinely enjoy working with children
  • You are patient, reliable, and able to stay calm in challenging situations
  • You value connection, respect, and meeting clients where they are
  • You are open to feedback and committed to learning
  • You’re looking for meaningful work that actually makes a difference

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
  • RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain—we provide training)
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental differences is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Must pass background check

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay (based on experience and certification)
  • Paid training and support to become an RBT
  • Mileage reimbursement (including commute for in-home sessions)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Paid time off and sick time
  • Ongoing professional development, including CEUs and PDUs
  • Opportunities for growth within the company (including BCBA supervision)
  • A supportive, collaborative team that actually enjoys working together
  • A welcoming clinic environment with access to materials, activities, and yes—coffee

Why Trailhead?

We’re a small, close-knit team that values authenticity, creativity, and high-quality care. We believe in doing ABA differently—trauma-informed, relationship-centered, and individualized for every child.

If you’re looking for a workplace where you feel supported, valued, and part of something meaningful, we’d love to meet you.
