Davidson Technologies Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.
Davidson will be supporting the Air Force's development, production, sustainment and deployment of software systems for Sentinel Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform in a MBSE environment
- Analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
- Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
- Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
- Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
- Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
- Develops technical, system Architecture and system design documentation.
- Interacts with the Product Owner regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
- Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
Job Requirements:
- Fifteen (15) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with SysML, UML or other modeling languages
- Experience with Agile and working in a cross-functional team.
- Experience with Software Safety (Mil-STD882E)
- Experience performing Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis (SCFTA)
- Experience designing for Safety Critical Functions
- Experience writing requirements for Safety Critical Functions
- Experience with USAF Nuclear Surety (AFMAN91-119) and/or Cyber Certification
- Excellent organizational and facilitation skills
- Self-starting mentality and willingness to take ownership of difficult challenges
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tools DOORS and Cameo
- Experience with operational weapon software systems
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification
- Experienced with verification planning and system buildup for Flight Tests
- Detailed knowledge of the Command and Launch system and mission objectives
Clearance Requirements:
- Active DoD Security Clearance at the SAP/SCI level or above
