House Staff Providers are care providers who work a scheduled shift in one of KAAUM’s staffed homes. They report directly to the House Manager. House staff performs functions that support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in a home setting. These providers ensure all services in the residential service plan are provided and the individuals are kept within supervision levels. Duties are performed to ensure the health and safety of the individual(s) who reside in the home. This opportunity requires a person who is organized, willing to take direction, and able to provide hands-on care for medical needs, assistance with daily living skills, and behavioral needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- · Ability to complete person specific training as well as other organizational training.
- · Transportation of individuals to and from appointments and community activities of their choosing.
- · A willingness to cook and clean as needed for the individuals in the home.
- · Willingness to assist with hygiene needs.
- · Willingness to support co-workers when necessary and appropriate
- · Willingness to support PRS when in distress / agitation
- · Maintenance of service and support as outlined in the individual’s service plan.
- · Completion of log notes in the company system or within the communication book
- · Tracking of health-related protocols (i.e., tracking for seizure, bowel, diet, etc.)
- · Medication Administration and documentation
- · Documentation of incidents in company system.
- · Documentation of shift occurrences in the communication log or in the company system as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
· Must be over the age of 18 with a valid driver’s license.
· Must be able to pass a background check.
· Must be able to pass a Colorado Adult Protective Services check.
· Must be able to complete training in a timely manner and maintain additional training as required.
· Must be a qualified medication administration professional (QMAP) or willing to become a QMAP.
Must maintain a CPR/First Aid certification

- Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills for daily reporting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends and nights as our houses are staffed 24/7.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to obtain a Qualified Medication Administration Professional status
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and ensure the health and safety of each individual served.
