Job Description
OBJECTIVE:

Work with the Family Services Manager to maintain the highest quality program. Communicate effectively and timely results to appropriate parties, scheduling, and act as mediator when the need arises. Provide scheduling services to all clients to maintain their level of independence in the home immediately.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm.
(Every 3rd week will be weekend coverage 9 a.m.-5 p.m. with Wednesday/Thursday off that week)

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in the medical field required. At least three year of previous experience scheduling for a high demand office. Must be able to type a minimum of 50 wpm and have three years of previous supervisory experience.

The incumbent should be a motivated and self-directed professional that can operate within proper guidelines. The incumbent should possess exceptional communication skills, presentation, negotiation and management skills, strong business work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor. The incumbent should have advanced MS Office skills and must demonstrate competence in networking, and have selling skills. The incumbent must have proven people skills. The incumbent must be able to multi-task and work independently or within a team. The incumbent must possess well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.

The incumbent must be able to relate to clients, families, and co-workers in a courteous and diplomatic manner, able to perform in a multi-tasked office environment with frequent interruptions and communicate with staff and clients in a professional manner, relating to and helping problem solving issues surrounding schedules and difficulties. Incumbent must formulate, interpret and implement all areas of scheduling for direct care including assessing the work ethic of employees, provide assistance with any client/direct care worker problems and how best to proceed, recommending disciplinary actions with regard to the employees.

The incumbent is expected to maintain confidentiality regarding agency and client records and information at all times. A valid Colorado driver’s license and a clear criminal background, without a history of violations, is also required. Position is nontraditional hours and works weekends and called in when needed.



KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Client/Program Tracking and Reporting

The Incumbent will assist direct care workers to complete Clockworks accurately and punctually, complete incident reports as deemed necessary, and report important changes observed in the client’s home. Provide timely services to all clients, use good judgment skills to match clients with appropriate employees, act as a liaison with funding sources, and maintain highest utilization of hours to achieve financial stability, and have the knowledge and ability to serve clients in their homes. Oversee appropriate usage and scheduling of company vehicles. Provide input to supervisors on yearly evaluations to direct care staff.

Program Documentation, Tracking and Reporting

The Incumbent will be responsible for putting all notes into Kinnser and file in employee files, complete required forms, and reports accurately and on time. This is to include all incident reports, complaint, HR forms, and other HCA reporting. Incumbent will also be responsible for discharge planning and documentation of clients. Incumbent must be able to up-sell additional and/or new services to clients at home visits

Relationship Management

The Incumbent will inform management of progress, considerations, and pertinent information regarding employees and clients that affect the care provided. In addition, the Incumbent will participate in team meetings and in-service training sessions. The incumbent will deal effectively and calmly with non-routine situations following accepted guidelines, communicate significant problems to the Manager and perform other duties as required by the Director/Manager.

Research and Industry Involvement

The Incumbent is required to keep skills updated and attend conferences and meetings to expand knowledge and skills.

Strategic Leadership and Industry Support

The Incumbent is responsible for developing and communicating standards and ensuring they are implemented and maintained. As an employee of Goodwill, it is expected that the Incumbent will seek opportunities to advocate the vision, mission, strategic plan, and philosophies of Discover Goodwill of Southern & Western Colorado. The Incumbent will stay abreast of trends, understand competition, and learn about all areas affecting home care on a national and regional level. The Incumbent will keep current in appropriate certifications and memberships. The Incumbent will leverage opportunities to explain and promote the quality standards of Goodwill with employers, vendors, employees, and customers. The Incumbent will promote and set the standard for conduct and appearance in keeping with a professional working environment and will guide others to ensure this is achieved at every Goodwill site. As a team member, the Incumbent will promote and maintain the standard of a team concept within the workplace.

Strategic Performance

The Incumbent will regularly meet performance targets outlined in their plan. He/she will regularly meet or exceed up-selling quotas, both personal and team. The Incumbent will provide accurate up to date reports for the Director of Family Services.

Staff Development

The Incumbent will assist in maintaining an outstanding direct care team. The Incumbent must have the ability to motivate the members of the team and support their development through appropriate and effective guidance, provide work direction and guidance while providing timely feedback regarding the quality of task completion. The incumbent must work to create an environment of “Teamwork and Trust”.
